Ingredients

2 Cinnamon Sticks
4 Whole Cloves
2 Star Anise
1 inch Fresh Ginger, thinly sliced
Peel of 1 Orange
2 Black Tea Bags (or 2 tsp loose leaf black tea)
4 Cups Water
2 tbsp Maple Syrup (or to taste)
Optional: A sprig of Fresh Mint for garnish

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, combine cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, star anise, and sliced ginger. Add the orange peel for a zesty hint.

Pour water into the saucepan and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Let it infuse for 10 minutes to extract the flavors.

Reduce the heat and add the black tea bags. Steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.

Remove the tea bags and spices. Stir in maple syrup, adjusting the amount to suit your taste.

Pour the tea into a large, cozy mug. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint, if desired. Feel free to adjust the spices and sweetness to match your preference. This tea is best enjoyed fresh and hot.
