Mushroom Coffee Recipe

Mushroom coffee can boost cognitive function, support the immune system, and provide steady, non-jittery energy. Mushrooms like lion's mane are known for their potential to enhance focus and memory, while chaga and reishi support immunity and stress reduction.

This coffee blend, which combines the rich flavor of high-quality coffee with the health benefits of lion's mane, chaga, reishi, and cordyceps mushrooms offers a balanced energy boost without the usual caffeine jitters, enhanced by warm notes of cinnamon and cacao for added antioxidants. Enjoy a cup hot or cold to kickstart your day with clarity and vitality, making it a staple in your wellness routine.

Mushroom coffee blends are often marketed for weight loss, but the claims are somewhat exaggerated. The caffeine in coffee can boost metabolism, which may help with calorie burning, and mushrooms like Reishi and Chaga provide nutrients and fibers that can promote satiety. However, relying solely on mushroom coffee for weight loss is unrealistic. It should be part of a balanced diet and active lifestyle to be effective. It's not a magic solution and won't replace healthy eating and exercise

Ingredients

1 cup of high-quality instant coffee or ground coffee
1 tablespoon of lion's mane mushroom powder
1 tablespoon of chaga mushroom powder
1 tablespoon of reishi mushroom powder
1 tablespoon of cordyceps mushroom powder
1 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional for flavor)
1 teaspoon of cacao powder (optional for flavor and antioxidants)

Instructions

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly in a bowl.

Store the blend in an airtight container.

To prepare a cup, add 1-2 teaspoons of the mix to hot water or plant-based milk. Stir well.

Adjust the quantity to your taste preference and caffeine tolerance.

Caffeine

The caffeine content will depend on the type of coffee used. On average, a teaspoon of instant coffee contains about 30-60 mg of caffeine. Given the addition of mushroom powders, each serving will have a similar or slightly lower caffeine content compared to a regular cup of coffee.
