Spicy Sauerkraut Dip Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup sauerkraut, drained and chopped
1 cup plant-based mayonnaise
1/2 cup plant-based plain yogurt (or additional mayonnaise)
2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped fresh dill or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped sauerkraut, mayonnaise, sour cream, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Stir well to ensure all ingredients are evenly mixed. Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning with salt, pepper, and more hot sauce if you prefer it spicier.

Cover the bowl and refrigerate the dip for at least an hour. This allows the flavors to meld together. Before serving, give the dip a final stir. Garnish with chopped fresh dill or parsley if desired. This dip pairs well with crackers, vegetable sticks, or as a spread for sandwiches.

Optional Additions: For an extra kick, you can add chopped jalapeños or a dash of cayenne pepper. You can also mix in some shredded cheese for a cheesy twist.
